Russian Salon Dogs at IABCA Shows
The Russian Salon Dog is recognized by the International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA), allowing registered Russian Salon Dogs to compete in conformation and earn official IABCA championship titles.
IABCA operates much like many foreign kennel clubs by evaluating each dog against the official breed standard rather than solely in comparison to the other dogs entered that day. Judges assess how closely each exhibit conforms to the Russian Salon Dog standard, providing an objective evaluation of breed type, structure, movement, coat, temperament, and overall quality.
Each judge also provides a detailed written critique and scorecard, giving exhibitors valuable feedback on their dog's strengths and areas for improvement. This educational approach makes IABCA an outstanding venue for both experienced exhibitors and those new to the breed.
Russian Salon Dogs are eligible to earn a variety of IABCA championship titles, including:
National Champion (Nat. Ch.)
International Champion (Int. Ch.)
Honors Champion (Hnr. Ch.)
Honors Grand Champion (Hnr. GCh.)
Additional advanced championship titles as dogs continue to compete.
For preservation breeders, the written critiques and scorecards are invaluable tools for evaluating breeding stock and making informed breeding decisions. Because each dog is judged on its own merits against the breed standard, IABCA evaluations provide meaningful documentation of quality while helping preserve correct Russian Salon Dog type for future generations.

Russian Salon Dogs Eligible for the 2026 AKC–FCM Universal Championship
The Russian Salon Dog Club of America is pleased to announce that the Federación Canófila Mexicana (FCM) has confirmed the eligibility of Russian Salon Dogs to compete at the 2026 AKC–FCM Universal Championship, to be held in Mexico City, Mexico, November 12–15, 2026.
Following an inquiry submitted by the RSDCA, the FCM confirmed the following:
Russian Salon Dogs are eligible to compete.
Dogs registered with the Russian Kynological Federation (RKF), or another FCI-recognized registry with a valid FCI pedigree, are eligible for entry.
Russian Salon Dogs will be judged under the official FCI/RKF Russian Salon Dog Breed Standard during the Special Attraction Shows.
Eligible dogs may earn official FCM championship titles.
This announcement represents another important milestone for the Russian Salon Dog breed, providing exhibitors with additional opportunities to compete internationally under the official FCI breed standard while earning recognized championship titles.

Russian Salon Dogs Eligible for the 2028 FCI World Dog Show
The Russian Salon Dog Club of America is pleased to announce that Russian Salon Dogs will be eligible to compete at the 2028 FCI World Dog Show in Mexico City, one of the world's most prestigious canine events. The 2028 World Dog Show will be held November 2–5, 2028, under the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and the Federación Canófila Mexicana (FCM).
This is an exciting milestone for our breed and an incredible opportunity for exhibitors and breeders to present Russian Salon Dogs on the international stage.
Important Entry Requirement
To participate, dogs must possess an FCI-recognized pedigree. Dogs registered only with non-FCI registries are not eligible for entry unless they also hold an accepted FCI pedigree. The World Dog Show requires foreign entries to be accompanied by an official pedigree recognized by the FCI.
